Leadership Team
He currently serves as a Co-Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of THINA Entertainment (Private) Limited and as a Director of Tissa Nagodavithana Films (Private) Limited, a respected and longstanding name in Sri Lankan cinema. He is also an active member of the Movie Producers’ Guild of Sri Lanka, contributing to the development and advancement of the national film industry.
As a Co-Founder of the THINA digital ecosystem, Haren spearheaded the invention and launch of the “THINA” movie streaming platform and the “WE LOVE DEALS” digital coupon marketplace, pioneering platforms that connect Sri Lankan entertainment and commerce with a growing global audience.
He holds a Master of Science degree from AeU, further complementing his extensive industry experience with strong academic foundations.
Combining over four decades of cinematic heritage with forward-looking digital innovation, Haren continues to lead transformative initiatives that strengthen Sri Lanka’s presence in the regional entertainment and digital media landscape.
He currently serves as Co-Founder, Executive Director, and Chief Executive Officer of THINA Entertainment (Private) Limited, where he leads the company’s long-term vision, innovation strategy, and global expansion initiatives. His leadership is focused on developing scalable digital platforms and creating value-driven ecosystems that elevate Sri Lanka’s presence in the global digital and entertainment economy.
Chaturanga holds an MBA from AEU and bachelors and higher educational qualifications in Finance, Human Resources Management, and Hospitality from Glion Institute of Higher Education and Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne, Switzerland, and is recognized for his strategic foresight, cross-cultural leadership, and transformative impact across industries.
He currently serves as a Co-Founder, Director and Chief Operating Officer of THINA Entertainment (Private) Limited and as a Director of Tissa Nagodavithana Films (Private) Limited, a company with over four decades of legacy in Sri Lankan film production. In these roles, he oversees operations, strategic partnerships, and content, vendor and customer acquisition, ensuring the development of a diverse and compelling entertainment portfolio that resonates with both local and international audiences.
At THINA Entertainment, Charith plays a pivotal role in advancing the THINA digital streaming ecosystem and the “WE LOVE DEALS” digital marketplace, building strong vendor partnerships and integrating high-value content and exclusive offers to enhance platform engagement and user growth.
A proud alumnus of the legendary Royal College, Colombo 07, Charith combines strong academic foundations from multiple respected institutions in Sri Lanka with extensive industry experience. Known for his ability to build high-performing teams and collaborative cultures, he champions innovation, agility, and operational excellence, enabling fast-growing entertainment and digital ventures to scale sustainably in a rapidly evolving media landscape.
